This song is based on the famous story about a simple Jew who goes into a synagogue on Yom Kippur evening and don´t know how to pray. In the middle of Kol Nidrei prayer he suddenly starts to scream. The people want to throw him out, but their Rabbi tells them that even though he didn't know how to read or know the words, his prayer was more accepted than the prayers of all the others, cause his cry came from the bottom of his heart.

8th Day (USA) - The Marcus Brothers are: Shmueli, Benny, Eli, Zalman, Chaim & Yossi. They all play their own instruments, and all sing, some more than others, the lead vocals are Shmueli Marcus. The brothers (who just happen to be nephews of the popular chasidik singer Avraham Fried) compose, play, and sing their own original music with engaging lyrics and addictive hooks.

About the Name: There was once a king who made a seven-day banquet for all his subjects, but asked his closest friends to stay a little longer and make an eighth day. Our Sages apply this image to explain the difference between the seven days of Sukkot and the concluding festival, called Shemini Atzeret, the "eighth day."

Jewish mysticism says that the number seven alludes to nature and the number eight alludes to above nature. Nowadays it's still us and them, but on the 8th day it'll be just you and me, and when the sun won't set, you'll know it's my eighth day, and when your songs won't end, you'll know it's my eighth day.
