A detailed discusion followed by a live performance of "Ose Shalom" (The One Who Brings Peace) - track 20, " from my debut CD album, "King David's Lyre; Echoes of Ancient Israel"...

This 22 track album (corresponding to th 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet), is my attempt to recreate the mystical, lost sounds of the ancient Hebrew "Kinnor" - the 10-string Biblical Lyre once played over 2000 years ago in the Temple of Jerusalem, by my very own, very ancient Levite ancestors, to accompany the legendary singing of the Levitical Choir - now THAT'S what I call "Roots Music"!!

In this album, I arranged for my replica Kinnor, pieces from both the traditional Klezmer & a selection of traditional sacred Jewish melodies - all of which feature scales and modes which I discovered, dated back to Biblical antiquity (as revealed by the work of Suzanne Haik Vantoura, who in 1976, deciphered the original 3000 year old melodies and modes which once accompanied the entire text of the Hebrew Bible).

The first track on the album, "The Music of Moses", is an original composition, based on an ancient Egyptian minor pentatonic scale - as deciphered by Prof. Hans Hickmann from ancient Egyptian chironomy (musical notation based on a system of specific hand gestures).

Suzanne Haik Vantoura identified the mysterious "Te Amim" accents attached to the text of the Hebrew Bible, whose original meaning was lost, (following the destruction of the Temple of Jersualem in 70CE), as transcriptions of specific hand gestures associated with the ancient Hebrew version of musical chironomy - and so, the original music of the Bible was revealed...
