A live performance on my replica Biblical "Nevel" - one of the lyres once played over 2500 years ago by my very own, very ancient Levite ancestors, in the Temple of Jerusalem, to accompany the singing of the Levitical Choir...now THAT'S what i call "Roots Music"!!

The piece I am playing, in the ancient Middle Eastern Hija Mode, is the haunting melody traditionally sang during Yom Kippur to the hymn "Avinu Malcheinu" (Our Father, Our King). Astudio version of this piece can be heard on my album, "The Ancient Biblical Lyre" - out now, on iTunes:
